Job Description

The Commonwealth of PA is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to work on the Pennsylvania Transit Database (PennTD), a greenfield web application for PennDOT’s Bureau of Public Transit. The system is being built using the latest .NET and Angular technologies and deployed to the Azure cloud. The application will improve communication between PennDOT, the Federal Department of Transit, and public transit agencies in Pennsylvania while modernizing legacy systems.

The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Technical Lead and Application Architect to develop, test, and document code for system features and enhancements.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience with .NET Core, Angular, and Azure cloud services. Strong knowledge of digital accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, ADA compliance) is required.

  • 8+ years of experience with .NET Core and C# for backend development
  • 8+ years of experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core
  • 8+ years of experience with SQL Server / T-SQL and Azure SQL
  • 8+ years of experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture
  • 8+ years of experience with Testing Frameworks (XUnit/NUnit, Jasmine, Karma)
  • 8+ years of experience with ORMs (Entity Framework, Dapper)
  • 8+ years of experience with Containerization technologies (Prefer: Docker)
  • 8+ years of experience implementing Cloud Services (Azure Functions, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault)
  • 8+ years of experience in Front-End Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap)
  • 8+ years of experience with Angular (Experience with Angular 14 or later)
  • 8+ years of experience with Development Tools (Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, Azure DevOps/Git)
  • 8+ years of experience with Digital Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, ADA Compliance)
