Job Description

Location - 100% Remote with some travel to Dallas, TX (Expenses Paid)

Duration - Long Term

The candidate will work with the software development team within Southwest Airlines to develop a web-based application hosted in AWS. The environment will follow Agile/Scrum methodology with 2-week sprints and daily video conference meetings. The ideal candidate should be able to build applications independently and have a strong focus on React while being able to mentor developers on front-end technology. They should possess design skills to work with features, understand the code, and enhance usability. While AWS Cloud skills are a “nice to have,” the candidate should be able to interact with backend services to manage and display data in the UI. Additionally, the candidate should provide insight on better code utilization and fit well within the team culture.

Requirements

Experience: Must have 15+ years of U.S.A work experience.

Education: A BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills to interact with leaders.
• 7+ years of IT experience as a ReactJS Frontend UI Developer.
• Exceptional skills in Analysis, Design, and Development of highly scalable mult-tier web applications.
• Ability to mentor developers on front-end technology.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud is a “nice to have”.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
