Job Description

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a Social Media Content Producer for a short-term project focused on creating content for Lianhe Zaobao’s (ZB) social media platforms. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about the latest social media trends and proficient in various platforms including WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Responsibilities include:

• Producing engaging original content such as social posts and short videos for social media platforms daily.
• Re-adapting existing ZB content to suitable forms for audience engagement on social media.
• Staying updated with the latest social media trends and understanding content appeal for various audiences.
• Implementing social media best practices as applicable.
• Cultivating strong and positive relationships with social media audiences.
• Monitoring social media reach and engagement metrics, and extracting actionable insights.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in a relevant field such as Mass Media, Communications, Public Relations, Chinese studies, etc.; at least 1 year of relevant experience as a digital content creator.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, focusing on a Chinese-speaking audience.
• Passionate about current affairs.
• Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms like WeChat and Xiaohongshu is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating with various stakeholders.
