Job Description

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer in Boston, MA, who is passionate about making investing more approachable for diverse audiences. This role is part of Fidelity Investments, which is redefining the financial services industry with a focus on customer-centered, data-driven decisions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Experience

  • 7-10+ years of UX or related experience preferred.
  • A degree in a related field such as interactive design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, or human factors is preferred.
  • Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred.
  • Experience running and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions preferred.
  • A digital portfolio for review is required.

Skills

  • An array of design skills, including visual design, conversational design, information architecture, prototyping, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), and user research.
  • Ability to design across web and native channels.
  • Effective communication skills as a writer, presenter, and facilitator; comfortable interacting with developers and executives.
  • A foundational knowledge of web and mobile development.
  • Understanding the value of design systems and knowing how to contribute to them.
  • Collaborating with user research to address customer problems.
  • Distilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to reveal recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisions.
  • An unwavering curiosity to ask why.
  • A passion for design.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Lead the design work and deliver business outcomes across multiple product teams with minimal guidance.
  • Collaborate with the product owner to help inform product strategy.
  • Partner with developers to collaboratively solve problems.
  • Work across the organization to ensure consistent customer experiences.
  • Contribute to the culture of the UXD group.
  • Provide design and product thought leadership.
