Job Description

The SPH Chinese Media Group is seeking a highly motivated Video Editor to work on a short-term project (4 months). In this role, you will work on video editing, designing motion graphics for web and mobile video content, and creating short reels for various social media platforms.

You are expected to:

• Conceptualise and visualise stories, and edit video packages independently for different audiences.
• Conduct ongoing and proactive communication within the team and across departments to drive relevant productions, gather information, and create the appropriate visual and audio content in a timely and efficient manner.
• Quickly acquire an understanding of existing operational workflows, new equipment, and system setups, as well as upgrades to system applications.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in relevant fields; at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.; familiarity with social video production e.g. using CapCut, is a plus.
• Effectively bilingual in written and spoken English and Chinese as this role supports a Chinese publication.
• Organised, independent, and able to prioritise assignments under tight timelines.
• Thorough knowledge of PC and MAC operating systems.
