STV’s in-house Creative team are currently recruiting for a Multimedia Editor. The Creative team is behind the big ideas that make the STV brand stand out. Working in partnership with Marketing, the team creates campaigns that promote STV’s award-winning shows and support initiatives like STV Zero and the STV Children’s Appeal, projects that genuinely make a difference, reaching millions across Scotland and beyond.

THE ROLE: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Glasgow/Hybrid, with a salary range of £27,000 - £29,000 (dependent on experience). The Multimedia Editor will report to the Head of Creative Production and will be responsible for editing and delivering content that drives results, from one-off videos to multi-platform campaigns.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilise video editing skills to reversion ITV marketing materials into STV and STV Player branded deliverables.
• Edit and support ad-hoc projects such as showreels and corporate communications.
• Assist Producers and Creatives with larger-scale campaign editing.
• Work to tight deadlines, managing simultaneous campaigns.
• Use approved STV toolkits for brand consistency across platforms.
• Collaborate with the in-house Creative team for streamlined workflows.
• Troubleshoot challenges with asset delivery and improve processes.
• Respond constructively to feedback and suggestions.
• Assist with other aspects of the company work as needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrable experience in a related role focusing on broadcast, digital, or social media campaigns.
• Technical expertise in media editing tools including Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop is desirable.
• Experience in broadcast post-production workflows.
• Appreciation for storytelling in TV and ability to analyze programmes.
• Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, and solution-focused.
• Strong collaborative mindset and resilience as a team worker.

It would be advantageous to have:

• Experience of self-shooting short form content.
• An interest in sport, particularly Scottish sport.
• A keen interest in TV production, marketing, streaming, advertising, and social media.
• A curiosity about consumer behavior and popular culture.
• An understanding of the changing media landscape.
• Familiarity with BCAP/CAP and Ofcom broadcasting codes.
