Job Description

Company Overview: Orca Creative Team is a diverse network of wedding photographers and videographers in Chicago. Our team of freelancers captures weddings, engagements, and elopements for couples across the Chicago area. We’re creatives with a passion for photography, video production, filmmaking, and storytelling. We’re one of the largest and highest-rated wedding photo and video studios in the country. This position is for a Freelance Assistant Photographer/Videographer in Chicago, Illinois. It’s an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience while building your portfolio and skill set in the wedding photography industry.

Requirements

Experience:

• At least three (3) events as an event photographer.
• Preferable experience as a wedding photographer with at least one (1) wedding.
• Seasoned photographer with understanding of camera equipment.

Equipment Requirement:

• One (1) Camera with Dual Memory Card Slots.
• A variety of Prime and Zoom Lens with f/2.8 or lower covering multiple focal ranges.
• Multiple batteries and SD cards.

Additional Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of photography experience (Required).
• Willingness to travel 75% (Required).

Responsibilities

• Record weddings throughout the Chicago area.
• Provide outstanding customer service to engaged couples.
• Document weddings with a photojournalistic approach.
• Manage your availability calendar to accept freelance assignments.
• Deliver high-quality video footage.
• Act as a freelancer and independent contractor representing the Orca Creative Team.
