Social-first agency WE THE PEOPLE is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Designer/Art Director (Mid-Weight) to join our growing team in Melbourne. WE THE PEOPLE helps brands to Own The Moment, focusing on combining speed, culture, and creativity to capture attention on social and digital platforms. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland, we work with leading brands like Arnott’s Biscuits, Jetstar, Target, Amazon, Cobram Estate, and Priceline.

As a Designer/Art Director, you’ll support the Creative Editorial & Campaign teams in developing stunning visual outcomes for client partners across various campaigns and always-on social outputs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social/digital platforms with a keen creative eye for developing scroll-stopping visuals.

Requirements

You’ll be bringing to the table:

• 3+ years of experience in a Design/Art Director role.
• Expert proficiency in the Adobe Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro).
• A strong portfolio of high-quality digital-focused commercial work, ideally with prior experience in social.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to confidently share ideas and present work to team members and clients.
• Strong organizational skills for completing tasks on tight deadlines.
• A proactive approach to work and delivering great results for clients.
• Previous experience in an agency environment will be viewed positively.

Additional Information

This is a part-time role (2-3 days) based in Melbourne. You must have the legal right to live/work in Australia.
