Job Description

As part of the design team, this role is primarily focused on graphics and artwork. The individual will support the design team by providing both creative and administrative assistance, ensuring the development of brand-compliant and commercially viable products. Collaboration is key, as they will work closely with the design team, as well as the wider creative, tech teams, and suppliers, to guarantee that the products meet the highest standards. This position requires a driven and creative individual who consistently introduces innovative and brand-appropriate concepts to the business.

Working Schedule: 2 days per week (must be back-to-back days)

Location: Both days to be worked from our studio in Old Street, London

Payment: Daily rate

Requirements

This role demands advanced knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite to create original, brand-appropriate artwork, placement prints, repeats, and branding packs across multiple product categories. An understanding of the target consumer is essential, along with the ability to maintain a consistent β€œsignature” style that reflects the brand’s DNA.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience

Skills: Proactive and confident in sharing ideas and concepts to the business, that have potential to become staples of the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Align graphic innovation and techniques with creative briefs set by the design lead and the wider business.
  • Travel with the design lead to UK stores and attend research trips for inspiration.
  • Take ownership of the product life cycle associated with your artwork and product.
  • Transform research ideas into design concepts by creating initial designs to present to the design lead and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of various print techniques and innovate embellishment/print methods.
  • Research emerging graphic styles and techniques to inject excitement and newness into the brand, showcasing these ideas in weekly design meetings.
  • Produce clear and concise technical graphic CAD design specifications within specified time frames.
  • Utilise advanced skills in hand illustration, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create original artwork, placement prints, repeats, and branding across all product categories.
  • Liaise with product developers and overseas factories to provide clear and concise feedback.

Additional Information

This role emphasizes a collaborative environment within the design team and requires a creative mindset able to develop and maintain brand identity. Regular interaction with various teams and stakeholders is essential to ensure alignment on product vision and standards.
