Job Title: Video Editor/Videographer (Part-time)

Market One is a collaborative content marketing, strategy, and creation agency with a stable of award-winning digital media strategists, journalists, and videographers focused on providing robust solutions for Canada’s capital markets. The role of Video Editor/Videographer involves understanding the video production process from planning to final delivery, and it reports to the Media Production Manager & VP Marketing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Filming clients on-site and online
• Post-production for video services (editing/animations/motion graphics/audio mixing)
• Scheduling and tracking progress of tasks on project management software under guidance
• Collecting and organizing client assets on a cloud server
• Assisting in the direction and production of client videos (storyboarding, script writing, graphic design, filming, etc.)
• Traveling to in-person conferences and other filmings as required
• Assembling and editing videos to achieve continuity and emotional impact
• Understanding different formats required for various social media platforms
• Performing additional reasonable duties as required by the company

Requirements

• Familiarity with Sony Equipment
• Experience using project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, Trello)
• Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Aptitude to learn multiple online software platforms
• Previous production, animation, and film experience is an asset
• 2+ years of experience as a video editor
• Experience adapting video content for different distribution needs, focusing on digital and broadcast TV optimization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Post-secondary education in media production or applicable discipline preferred

Compensation

The pay for this role ranges from $50 to $70 per hour, depending on experience. The position requires the Video Editor/Videographer to be in the Vancouver office 2 days a week (Tuesday/Thursday).
