Job Description

STV is Scotlandā€™s home of news, entertainment, and drama, serving audiences with quality content on air, online, and on-demand. The company is recruiting a Multimedia Editor within its in-house Creative team, which is responsible for creating campaigns that promote STVā€™s award-winning shows and support initiatives such as STV Zero and the STV Childrenā€™s Appeal. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract based in Glasgow/Hybrid, with a salary range of Ā£27,000 - Ā£29,000 depending on experience.

Requirements

Weā€™re looking for candidates with:

  • Demonstrable experience in a related role working on broadcast, digital, or social media campaigns.
  • Technical expertise in media editing tools and software, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro; knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop is desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of broadcast post-production workflows.
  • An appreciation for storytelling and the craft of TV, with the ability to analyze programs to extract key themes and compelling plots.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Resourcefulness, self-motivation, and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Resilient team worker with a collaborative mindset.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience of self-shooting short form content.
  • An interest in sport, particularly Scottish sport.
  • A keen interest in TV production, marketing, streaming, advertising, and social media.
  • Curiosity about consumer behavior, popular culture, and mediaā€™s societal role.
  • An understanding of current trends and tools in advertising and marketing.
  • An awareness of BCAP/CAP and Ofcom broadcasting codes.
