We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our creatively-led internal team to cover family leave as we help Newcastle Building Society bring our purpose to life across a wide range of media. This is an exciting time to join as we’re launching a new brand with Manchester Building Society and creating flagship city centre branches. Bring your creative ideas, design experience, and brand understanding into play alongside our existing designers and wider marketing team. You will be involved in the full range of the Society’s marketing activity from branch posters and visual merchandising to digital media and product brochures.

The work will be varied and you’ll often manage several projects at once while communicating with stakeholders at all levels to ensure our visual style aligns with our brand identity, guidelines, and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
• Scope and create templates for our marketing and communications teams to improve efficiency on social media and email channels.
• Manage design needs such as presentations, signage, branch collateral, outdoor advertising, digital ads, and trade show collateral.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who bring creative flair, a passion for design, and a demonstrable understanding of brand identity. You will be an excellent communicator, able to take a brief and effectively solve problems for stakeholders using your expertise. Excellent time management skills are crucial, along with the ability to manage client/stakeholder expectations.

You will have:

• Experience with art direction for photography and filmography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Pre-Press preparation.
• Interest in design trends.
• Skills in customer-centered design principles.
• Knowledge of print and production techniques.
