Job Description

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our creatively-led internal team to cover family leave as we help Newcastle Building Society bring our purpose to life across a wide range of media. In this role, you will collaborate with existing designers and the wider marketing team to develop outstanding creative that supports our marketing plan. You’ll work on various projects, from branch posters and visual merchandising to digital media and product brochures while ensuring our visual style aligns with our brand identity and guidelines. This hybrid position will require 2 days per week at our Head Office in Wallsend.

Responsibilities

  • Bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team.
  • Create templates for marketing and communications teams for social media, email, and other channels.
  • Manage other design needs such as presentations, signage, and outdoor advertising.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who bring creative flair, a passion for design, and a demonstrable understanding of brand identity.

You will need to be an excellent communicator who can take a brief and address client needs effectively.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Pre-Press preparation.
  • Interest in design trends and customer-centered design principles.
  • Knowledge of print and production techniques.
  • Experience with art direction for photography and filmography.
  • Excellent time management skills and stakeholder communication abilities.
