Job Description

This is a 6-month fixed-term employee contract initially, with a likelihood of extension. This role is part of our Personalised Content team, specializing in creating emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. We focus on hyper-personalised digital communications that influence perceptions and behaviors for clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more.

As a Junior Designer, you will create engaging designs that foster conversations between people and brands. You will collaborate with a team of creatives and copywriters to produce impactful designs that meet client briefs and uphold the DEPT® standard of design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and concepts, working on briefs from start to finish.
  • Design responsive emails and landing pages.
  • Storyboard and design paid social ads.
  • Create marketing display banners from scratch.
  • Animate engaging and disruptive videos for social media.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Utilize feedback from peers and leaders to enhance the quality of work.
  • Pitch creative ideas that enrich projects when relevant.
  • Liaise with clients to explain design thinking.
  • Research the latest design trends for practical application.
  • Implement industry trends and innovations into daily work.

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for digital marketing and design.
  • Strong visual design skills and understanding of layout, type, and fonts.
  • Digital design experience using industry-standard frameworks like Figma.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
  • Familiarity with design techniques, including prototyping.
  • Ability to design for small web placements.
  • Basic understanding of UX principles is a plus.
  • Good typesetting and retouching skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team player with problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-driven with an inquisitive nature.
