Join a Team of Young Changemakers! Rebels for Peace is a movement serving over 800 youth a year, providing mental health and Social Emotional Learning skills to empower the next generation. As our Videographer & Editor, you’ll play a crucial role in capturing and sharing our impact—helping us reach more youth and expand our mission. This role is for someone who loves storytelling through video, thrives in creative environments, and knows how to get things done when others can’t. If you’re passionate about using video to drive real change, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content to increase Rebels for Peace’s visibility and reach.
• Create engaging promotional materials for donors and partners.
• Capture multi-camera shoots, interviews, and live events to showcase our work.
• Edit compelling recap videos, short films, vlogs, and documentary-style content from our work in schools and in the community for social media.
• Tell powerful thematic stories that resonate with audiences and drive engagement.
• Stay updated on trends in digital video and social media to ensure our content remains fresh and impactful.

Requirements

• A visual storyteller who can bring stories to life through video.
• Experienced in videography and editing, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Passionate about social impact and making a difference through media.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and turn ideas into finished projects.
• Someone who thrives on relationships and can collaborate effectively with a dynamic, fast-moving team.
• Access to a computer capable of handling video editing.
• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Premiere Pro, or similar software (not phone editing).
• Owning a camera is a plus but not required.

Job Details

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule: Flexible, 4 hour shift

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chicago, IL 60615
