Duration: 6 Months Contract

As a Market Risk UI Software Engineer, you will be part of an Agile team responsible for building a multi-cross asset platform that offers self-service reporting and analytics tools for risk managers and the front office. This platform will utilize a big-data Hadoop/spark cluster and columnar stores for dynamic aggregation and analytic queries. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the Market Risk team, which is involved in various delivery initiatives across all business areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing elegant, reusable, unit-tested, and performant code in TypeScript and Angular UI framework.
• Collaborating with Tech-Leads to simplify architecture while maintaining resilience and performance.
• Writing technical analysis and design documents following established standards.
• Liaising effectively with Risk Managers and Business Analysts to gather requirements and implement functionalities.

Requirements

Education: Minimum Four-year college degree in computer science or a related discipline.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience in software development with Angular UI, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational database systems.
• Understanding of GIT, Agile methodologies, and SDLC phases.
• Ability to collaborate with Tech-Leads for architectural improvements.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Skills That Will Help You In The Role:

• Understanding of financial markets and risk management concepts.
• Experience with Linux, Python, Java.
• Experience in building Big Data analytic reporting technologies such as HDFS and Spark.

Additional Information

Good capacity to learn complex financial and risk management concepts is advantageous. Banking domain knowledge will also be considered beneficial.
