Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and skilled Digital Marketing Officer to cover maternity leave. The role is based in Southampton, Hampshire, and is a Fixed Term position, requiring 37 hours of work per week. The salary for this position is up to Ā£35,937 per annum. The closing date for applications is in 18 days at 23:59 GMT.

The Digital Marketing Officer will enhance the brand and reputation of the College group through the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and effective digital marketing strategies aimed at supporting student and apprentice recruitment, as well as improving engagement with employers across the South Hampshire region. This includes the implementation and execution of the College groupā€™s digital marketing strategy across all relevant digital and social platforms.

Requirements

Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in digital marketing and creating innovative digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Proven track record in strong digital content creation, tailored to suit the audience.
  • Experience in SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths.
  • Relevant higher-level qualification (e.g., HND or Degree) or an apprenticeship with substantial industry experience in a similar role.

Ideal Attributes:

  • Ability to understand key markets and how to target them effectively.
  • Ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging style via digital media channels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Creative and Logical thinking.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends on occasion, when required.
