Job Description

KPIX is looking for a highly talented part-time video editor with a passion for news and experience using non-linear editing equipment. The candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced television news environment. The role requires being detail-oriented, deadline-driven with minimal supervision. Editors must be creative and poised team players who can juggle multiple projects at once. Flexibility in work schedule, including willingness to work nights, overnights, and weekends, is necessary. Links to a demo reel demonstrating abilities are required, and ENG will also be part of regular duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced television news environment
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with minimal supervision
• Experience with Grass Valley Edius editing system preferred
• Creative and poised team player capable of managing multiple projects
• Flexible work schedule required, including nights, overnights, and weekends
• Links to demo reel demonstrating abilities
