Hello!

My name is Laura and I’m the lead producer for a small film company called PLANTPOP (plantpop.com). We make short documentary films about cool people doing interesting things with plants.

We are looking for talented filmmakers to explore stories in areas we can’t reach, including Asheville! This commission is for specific film contacts in the area but could lead to more consistent work depending on quality and ease of working relationships with producers.

Here’s what we’re offering:
WHAT: 3-5 minute long film about people and plants
PAY: $1,500, paid upon completion to specified standards
BONUSES: Paid within 45 days after the film is released on our end

-Self-produced (you find the story and do the necessary interview setup. (Story must be pre-approved by us) + $100
-Original Score (requires evidence & rights release) + $250

In addition, we have our Annual Film Awards every November in which our commissioned filmmakers submit up to three of their films to our independent judges. There are seven categories with prize money ranging from $500 to $5,000.
