Job Title: UX Designer

Duration: 6-Months

Location: Edinburgh (2x per week on-site required)

Rate: Daily through umbrella

Our client, a leading bank with over 30 million customers, is looking for a talented UX Designer to shape exceptional user experiences and deliver cutting-edge digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Exceptional Experiences: Design seamless user journeys from end to end, using components from a central design system to create a cohesive blend of content and UI elements.
• Bring Designs to Life: Leverage prototyping tools like Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD to translate concepts into interactive, high-quality prototypes.
• Balance User & Stakeholder Needs: Gather user research and align stakeholders on key user requirements, advocating for the best interests of the customer while managing expectations.
• Adapt to Technical Constraints: Navigate technical limitations and offer solutions to achieve the best user experience across platforms.
• Champion Inclusivity: Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring that solutions are usable by a diverse range of customers regardless of age, background, or technical ability.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in UX or Interaction Design, with strong ownership of design projects from inception to delivery.
• Prototyping Skills: High-level skills in prototyping and layout, with the ability to clearly communicate your design vision to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Design Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with existing design systems, with a proactive approach to improving and enhancing them.
• Research Interpretation: Strong ability to analyse both quantitative and qualitative research to inform design decisions.
• Financial Services Insight: Experience in complex environments, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Delivery Focused: A strong commitment to seeing designs through to delivery, ensuring they meet specifications and cater to diverse user needs.
• Inclusivity Advocate: A passion for designing with inclusivity and accessibility at the forefront.
