Job Description

MacSailing is looking for a talented freelance photographer/videographer to help capture the energy, beauty, and community of our adult sailing programs, cruising courses, and guided tours. The goal is to build a fresh, authentic media library that can be utilized across social media, our website, and digital ads. The role involves working on and around boats, with 3 flexible shoot days scheduled in May 2025, based on weather and programming. This project is ideal for someone with experience in sports, tourism, or outdoor lifestyle content.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality visual content during 3 on-location shoot days.
• Film from boats, docks, and beachside areas at Jericho.
• Utilize a mix of handheld, drone, and action cameras.
• Capture smooth, high-quality on-water video, not solely drone footage.
• Collaborate with MacSailing’s marketing team on brand goals and shot planning.
• Organize and deliver all content in a clearly labeled format.

Deliverables:

• 75–100 high-quality edited photos, including a mix of portrait and landscape orientation, action, lifestyle, and scenic images, suitable for web, print, social, and marketing campaigns.
• 15–20 short-form videos (5–60 seconds each), optimized for various platforms including Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok.
• 1–2 polished promotional videos (60–120 seconds) for Adult Sailing and Cruising or Tours, edited in both formats with/without music/text overlay.
• Labeled content library, including raw footage, drone clips, and B-roll/testimonial snippets if applicable.

Who You Are:

• Experienced in sports, tourism, or outdoor adventure content creation.
• Comfortable filming from boats and around water.
• Skilled in using handheld gear for smooth non-drone on-water video.
• Proficient in drone operation.
• Owns professional-grade camera, drone, and editing gear.
• Self-directed, communicative, and flexible with scheduling.

Compensation

Flat Project Fee: $2,000, which includes 3 shoot days, editing time, and delivery of all final content and raw footage.
