Job Description

The Medical Illustration team at UHBW is seeking an enthusiastic and creative part-time Clinical Videographer. Since its inception over six years ago, the demand for video services has increased in the Trust. The team provides in-house video solutions which include clinical videography, patient information videos, training films, recruitment and promotional materials, as well as internal communications. This role requires working onsite at the Bristol office. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about contributing to NHS and eager to apply their skills in a patient-care-focused environment.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities Essential:

• Physically capable of carrying equipment around the hospital site and working in awkward positions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High proficiency in digital video equipment and lighting for high-quality video production.
• Strong IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Premier Pro).
• Able to manage workload effectively and adapt to changing demands.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Knowledge and Experience Essential:

• Extensive practical experience in videography and editing.
• Excellent knowledge of video production/editing practices.
• Ability to creatively interpret client briefs.
• Good awareness of current trends in the videography field.

Qualifications and Training Essential:

• A degree in film or a related media subject, or equivalent experience.
• A valid driving license, as travel to other locations may be required.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc PGCert) in Medical Illustration.
• Experience with motion graphics and animation in film.
• Experience in a clinical video production environment.

Additional Information
