Job Description

Climax Studios was established nearly 30 years ago and has a rich history of developing various digital experiences across multiple formats, earning numerous awards along the way. Located in the picturesque Albert Docks of Liverpool, the studio is an exciting and inspiring place to work. We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Animator who is passionate about games and creativity, embraces innovative approaches, and thrives in collaborative environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive gameplay animation experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively with animation programmers and designers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Senior-level animator with gameplay animation experience.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
• Advanced knowledge of Maya; experience with MotionBuilder is beneficial.
• Keen eye for detail with the ability to deliver dynamic, realistic hand-keyed animations.
• Demonstrable understanding of the principles of animation.
• Experience working with mocap data, including clean-up and re-targeting.
• Ability to work with animation systems, tools, and processes in UE.
• Take ownership of animation requirements to meet desired results.
• Collaborate effectively with design, code, and the wider development team.
• Implement and test all animation requirements in-engine, along with fixing and polishing animations to meet quality standards.
• Team player open to feedback.
