Job Description

As a Sr. UX/UI Designer for eCommerce at Caterpillar, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of eCommerce experiences across various technology platforms. Your primary goal will be to design frictionless digital experiences that empower customers to efficiently purchase products. You will focus on creating top-notch UI designs, contributing to the eCommerce strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders to visualize customer needs through human-centered design.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a four-year college degree in Graphic, Interaction, Industrial, New Media or related Design, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), human factors/ergonomics, or a related field, or equivalent working experience. Additionally, candidates should have:

• 5+ years of experience designing digital eCommerce products across various platforms, including web and mobile (iOS and Android).
• Experience within B2B eCommerce, specifically with onsite search and B2B buying/shopping patterns.
• Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Figma, as well as knowledge of user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies across multiple platforms.
• The ability to listen to customers and stakeholders to visually design new products and features.
• A results-driven approach with strong technical knowledge, business acumen, and emotional intelligence.
• A deep understanding of UX industry standards, usability, accessibility, and trends in web and app design.
