Job Description

We are looking for a Designer to join Stylist on a part-time basis (1 day a week) for a period of 12 months. Stylist (part of DC Thomson) is the UK’s leading media brand for women, reaching 5 million women monthly and encompassing 40% of the women’s lifestyle sector. Requirements

• Experience in designing creative, fun, and exciting digital imagery with a keen eye for detail.

• Highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proactive, solution-oriented attitude.

• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.

• Professional representation of the company during shoots and liaising with external companies.

• Ability to give and receive open and honest feedback to foster team culture.

• Professional team player with a positive and can-do attitude, capable of working well under pressure.

• Necessary software skills include Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, as well as experience with After Effects and Canvas Flow (preferable).

Key Responsibilities

• Create industry-leading design targeted at affluent women and advertisers, on time and on budget.

• Design social, Stylist+ and email assets across all Stylist franchises, and assist in other branding areas as required.

• Maintain an understanding of the interests of Stylist advertisers and readers.

• Assist the team with reprographics and art desk administration.

• Build and create the digital iteration of the Stylist+ mini-mag on Canvas Flow.

• Provide support to other designers as needed.

• Maintain a strong reference library and stay updated on contemporary design trends.
