Job Description

Climax Studios, established nearly 30 years ago, has a rich history of developing diverse digital experiences and has won multiple awards. The role is based out of our Liverpool studio located in the beautiful Albert Docks overlooking the harbour. We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Animator who is passionate about games and has a creative mindset. The ideal candidate should possess experience in gameplay animation, exhibit strong technical skills, and be able to collaborate effectively with animation programmers and designers.

Requirements

• Senior-level animator with gameplay animation experience.
• Proficient in UE5.
• Advanced knowledge of Maya; experience with MotionBuilder is beneficial.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to deliver dynamic, realistic hand-keyed animations.
• Demonstrable understanding of animation principles.
• Experience working with mocap data, including cleanup and retargeting.
• Ability to work with animation systems, tools, and processes in UE.
• Take ownership of animation requirements to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with design, code, and the wider development team.
• Implement and test all animation requirements in-engine, polishing existing animations to meet quality standards.
• Possess teamwork skills and openness to feedback.
