Job Description
Jennergy is an award-winning creative agency seeking a talented UI/UX Designer as an ongoing freelance contractor. The role involves shaping the user experience across various client websites and SaaS web applications, creating solutions that are intuitive, visually compelling, and rooted in thoughtful design systems.
The ideal candidate thrives in complex design environments and has a passion for scalable, responsive web applications, with a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of UX best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, independently leading digital projects.
- A strong portfolio showcasing successful digital product and web design, especially for large-scale websites and web applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and advanced features.
- Expertise in designing responsive web experiences with a keen eye for layout, typography, hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
- Experience working within a design system and contributing to its expansion, particularly for web-specific components.
- Excellent visual design fundamentals with high-quality UI execution capabilities.
- Deep understanding of UX best practices and human-centered design principles.
- Proven ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, HCI, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- A digital portfolio link demonstrating successful digital product design and/or web design projects.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Additional Information
Responsibilities include leading the UX/UI design process for websites and complex web applications, designing and iterating on new product features, expanding existing UI systems, and producing UX deliverables. The position requires collaborative work with internal teams, clients, and developers to deliver thoughtful and intentional design decisions.
This is an ongoing contract position with an anticipated workload of 15–30 hours per week. Availability to start within the next few weeks is required, and the collaboration will be fully remote during standard Pacific Time business hours, utilizing tools such as Slack and Teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Event Technology industry.
- Experience designing for drag-and-drop or web builder platforms.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript—coding experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with front-end web frameworks, including Material Design and Flutter.
- Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms.
Work Expectations and Benefits
- Flexible schedule, with a 1099 contract compensation package.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
