Rana is a writer, producer, director, content creator, and occasional performer. She grew up exposed to different mediums; music, dance, theatre, film, comic books, poetry, television, and art. She also has a wide range of interests, from Christianity and social issues relating to African-Americans and women, to fashion, sports, and entertainment. Rana wrote a feature screenplay before she graduated from Hunter College in 2005. Since then, she has completed a host of short and feature screenplays. One of the feature screenplays is “New Sensation,” which was a finalist in the 2010 Beverly Hills Film Festival screenplay competition. She also completed short films. One of them, “I Can Assure You,” became an Official Selection for the 2021 International Christian Film & Music Festival. She also holds an MFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University.
