riannewhite.com Rianne White is a Scottish lass who has built a career as a film director and editor over the last decade. She grew up in Edinburgh and studied choreography at Falmouth University, where she taught herself filmmaking through the lens of physicality and how the body and movement enable a transformative perspective into cinema. This unique approach led her to pursue passion projects and develop a deep love for creating music videos. Her portfolio includes work with artists such as Ellie Goulding, Young Fathers, Aurora, and The Proclaimers, and her films have been showcased at festivals around the world, During this time, she also choreographed for the TV series Outlander and the short film Nevada by Ruth Paxton, which the Royal Philharmonic Society commissioned alongside her practice. Empowered by Scotland's vibrant energy, Rianne has collaborated on impactful projects, including the nationwide campaign United to Prevent Suicide and the commissioned short film "Sugar For Your Tea" with Kayus Bankole, as part of Underbelly’s "Message From The Skies." Her work consistently explores themes of the ever-evolving resilience within identity and the need for connection with our people, our planet and our inner worlds. Rianne has expanded her creative horizons by working with Hugo Boss on global fashion campaigns, including HUGO x Bella Poarch and HUGO x F1. Most recently, Rianne directed and edited Franz Ferdinand's latest music video and creative masterpiece, which has been greatly received by the press and is now being screened in Shibuya, Japan. These ventures mark a new chapter in her career as she explores longer-form projects. With documentary work in the pipeline, Rianne's creative approach is ready to ignite.
