    uniE621 Pallet of Sheffield Giftware
After the success of my Liverpool-inspired giftware range for this local tourist business, they approached me again to create a new collection celebrating another northern English city and the one I currently call home - Sheffield. As someone who grew up in Liverpool but has spent time exploring the unique charms of Sheffield, I was excited by the opportunity to showcase this vibrant city through my design lens. For this project, my goal was to capture the essence of Sheffield - its rich industrial heritage, its stunning natural setting, and its thriving creative community. I chose to work with a bold, colorful palette and an illustrative style that would bring these elements to life in a fresh, contemporary way. Where the Liverpool designs had an energetic, playful feel, the Sheffield range has a slightly grittier, more sophisticated edge. This reflects the city's unique character - it may not have the same tourist-friendly reputation as some other northern hubs, but that only adds to its appeal for those who know it well. Throughout the collection, I've incorporated visual references to Sheffield's landmarks and cultural touchstones. The iconic Winter Gardens, the striking architecture of the Town Hall, and the city's thriving street art scene all make appearances in my illustrations. And of course, the rolling green hills that frame the urban landscape are a constant presence. But beyond the specific iconography, I've tried to capture the overall spirit of Sheffield - its resilience, its creativity, and its deep connection to the natural world. Each product in the range, whether it's a tote bag, a mug, or a set of coasters, aims to give customers a tangible piece of that identity that they can take home with them. Just as the Liverpool collection did, I'm confident this Sheffield-inspired giftware will resonate with anyone looking to celebrate the unique charm and character of northern England. I hope these designs will inspire both locals and visitors to explore Sheffield in greater depth and appreciate all that this underrated city has to offer. graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer
uniE621 Look Talk Ask Campaign - Manchester Metropolitain University
As the graphic designer commissioned by the university to create a campaign promoting mental health awareness on campus, my goal was to craft visuals that would resonate with students and encourage open dialogue. The university wanted a comprehensive campaign that could be used across digital and physical channels - from social media to posters and merchandise. Through discussions with the stakeholders, I learned the primary aim was to foster a culture of acceptance and empower students to seek help without stigma. With that in mind, I developed an approachable, warm aesthetic - moving away from a clinical tone. The color palette featured soothing blues and greens, paired with organic shapes and illustrations conveying community and compassion. The campaign's logo was a simple, impactful mark meant to symbolize connection and open dialogue. I incorporated this consistently across deliverables, pairing it with uplifting taglines. For the printed materials, I opted for a clean layout that allowed the imagery and messaging to take center stage. Throughout, I was careful to avoid anything preachy or overly clinical, aiming to create an authentic, relatable campaign. Ultimately, I'm proud of the work - a cohesive, visually striking campaign I believe made a meaningful impact, inspiring open conversations and destigmatizing mental health. graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer logo
    uniE621 The Perfect Fry up
As the graphic designer tasked with illustrating the "Full English Breakfast" recipe for this fun, kid-friendly cookbook, my goal was to create a whimsical and playful depiction of a classic fry up that would capture a child's imagination. I started by sketching out all the familiar breakfast elements - crispy bacon, sunny-side-up eggs, juicy sausages, grilled tomatoes, and fluffy hash browns. But rather than going for a super realistic approach, I wanted to bring these components to life in a charming, illustrated style. Using bright, vibrant colors and expressive, slightly wonky brushstrokes, I gave each item its own playful personality. The bacon curls up mischievously, the eggs have friendly little faces peeking out, and the sausages have a jolly, sausage-y bounce to them. I even turned the tomatoes into happy little characters, complete with smiling faces and cute expressions. To add to the playful, hand-drawn feel, I incorporated fun little details like playful splashes of baked bean sauce and a sprinkle of sneaky black pepper. The overall composition has an energetic, child-like quality that I hope will spark the young reader's creativity and appetite. My aim was to create an illustration that not only looks delicious, but also feels warm, inviting, and fun - just like the perfect family breakfast should be. Hopefully this vibrant, whimsical depiction of a classic fry up will inspire the little chefs of tomorrow to get into the kitchen and start cooking!
    uniE621 Pallet of Liverpool Giftware
As a graphic designer who was born and raised in Liverpool , I was thrilled when a local tourist business in my hometown approached me to create a vibrant and eye-catching giftware range inspired by the area. They were looking to offer something unique and memorable that would appeal to both visitors and residents alike. My design approach was to celebrate the energy, creativity, and iconic landmarks of Liverpool through a bold, colorful palette and playful illustrative style. Even though I no longer live in the city, Liverpool will always have a special place in my heart, and I wanted each item in the range to feel like a little piece of home that customers could take with them. The collection features a variety of products that showcase silhouettes, illustrations, and icons representing the city's famous landmarks and cultural elements. I aimed to capture the spirit of Liverpool - its rich history, its cultural vibrancy, and its welcoming atmosphere. I hope that everyone who purchases these gifts will feel a connection to this amazing city, even if they've never visited before.
uniE621 Liverpool City Council - Crown Hub Reablement Service
As a graphic designer, I recently had the opportunity to create a brochure for the Crown Hub, a mental health service based in Liverpool. This was a project that I was particularly passionate about, as I strongly believe in the importance of accessible and compassionate mental health resources in our communities. The Crown Hub provides essential support and resources to individuals struggling with their mental wellbeing, so the brief was to develop a brochure design that would convey a sense of calm, approachability and professionalism. Given the sensitive nature of the services provided, it was important that the visual identity felt warm and welcoming, rather than clinical or institutional. To achieve this, I carefully selected a color palette of soft greens, blues and grays - hues that are known to have a soothing effect. I also incorporated textural elements like watercolor washes and hand-drawn icons to add a human touch and make the design feel less rigid. The layout of the brochure was crucial, as I wanted to create a sense of openness and breathing room. I emphasized clean, generous white space throughout, using a modern sans-serif font for the headings and a more traditional serif for the body copy to improve readability. Accessibility was a top priority, so I ensured there was strong contrast and ample sizing for those with visual impairments. I'm truly proud of the end result - a brochure that I believe accurately reflects the compassionate, community-focused mission of the Crown Hub. Most importantly, I hope the design puts the needs of their clients first, offering a calming and reassuring experience for those seeking support during difficult times. As a graphic designer, it's incredibly rewarding to work on projects that have the potential to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. The Crown Hub brochure was one such opportunity, and I'm grateful to have played a role in creating a visual identity that I hope will resonate with and uplift the community it serves. graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer
uniE621 Liverpool City Council - Mental Health Community Support Team
As the graphic designer tasked with creating a brocure to showcase the Liverpool City Council's mental health community supportteam, I knew I had an opportunity to shine a light on a service that is often shrouded in stigma and misunderstanding. The challenge was to find a way to convey the gravity of their mission while injecting a sense of warmth, empathy and hopefulness that would resonate with the viewer. Vibrant colors and playful typography danced across the page, creating a visual language that was both approachable and reassuring. Whimsical graphics highlighted the various services offered, inviting the viewer to explore and discover the nuances of the team's work. graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer webdesigner
