My name is Rossnelly Salazar. I am a Virginia based freelance illustrator seeking the opportunity to be represented. My art features work filled with kid lit whimsy and humor, each piece embedded with a story to tell. I work hard to incorporate life and a narrative into my art, using vibrant and vivid colors, paired with an expressive amount of details. Details I also utilize in my B&W works. With both a BFA and MA in Illustration, I have been freelancing since 2019, working with a variety of clients on my own. My work experience includes illustrating children's books for a variety of self-publishing authors, creating illustrations for children's magazines (Spider Magazine and Storytime Magazine), comics, developing vector art and graphics for print and online media, branding design, album covers, and concept art.
