I am an artist based in Cincinnati, OH with a BFA from the University of Cincinnati in the Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) program with a focus in drawing and painting. For my senior thesis, I was awarded the Director's Choice Award for best in show. I have been a part of multiple group exhibitions in the Tabula Rasa Gallery and The Reed Gallery. I have worked in roles in art production and as a gallery intern. My interests currently reside in the realm of horror, the uncanny, and storytelling using acrylic and oil paints, chalk pastels, and ink pens. I use Adobe Photoshop to plan out my artwork and illustrations, but primarily specialize in traditional art.

They Don't Make 'em Like This Anymore](https://www.twine.net/signin Rat kings are a phenomenon where rats’ tails become knotted together, ultimately resulting in the death of the rats. Home invasion horror depicts the anxiety of what ought to have been a safe place for one to relax into a hunting ground. I am using tension between what is real and what the mind makes up to depict my experience with a space relentlessly too big and too tight, created by American cultural Christianity and the conservative politics it entails. Puritan ideology haunts every corner without room to move, and you know what they say about idle hands. American products, folklore, and consumer capitalism has wormed their way into still lifes from the beginning of its conception. I control the narrative based on each object’s context bouncing off of the other, showing what I believe to be real.

I Don't Agree With the Lifestyle](https://www.twine.net/signin These works address physical discomfort regarding anxiety and gender using still lifes and body horror. Everything I make–especially anything involving the image of the body–is tinted in one way or another by the fact that I am nonbinary. My pieces show picking away at skin, a chest made concave by it being eaten away, and two still lifes with ritualistic themes and feminine imagery. They sit somewhere in the realm of the uncanny, abject, and macabre.
    uniE621 Actaeon
Actaeon was a character in a popular Greek myth who, while on a hunting trip, accidentally stumbled upon the goddess Artemis who was bathing. Although versions on this myth vary, they typically end in Actaeon transforming into a stag to be hunted and torn to shreds by his own dogs. Artemis is the virgin goddess of the moon and the hunt, and is typically depicted with animals, making the story a representation of how unforgiving nature and the gods could be. In Ovid's Metamorphosis, he has an elaborate description of Actaeon's transformation. In this in progress project, I have taken this into consideration with how I portray the stages transformation and have added my own interpretation of how it would look.
