Stephen Sidney is an emerging award winning artist based in Brick Lane, London. The artist's work is heavily influenced by their experiences and intentional upbringing having grown up across Europe and South East Asia, including countries such as the Netherlands and Indonesia. The artist studied a foundation degree at Arts University Bournemouth and graduated in BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, UAL in 2023. During his studies Sidney produced the award winning ‘X-Ray Crisis’ political oil painting and digital media series. Paintings from this series won the Prospect 100 x Meta History Ukraine global art competition, the head judge was Daniel Arsham. The artist later worked with the guest judge, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine to sell the works at auction to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees. These images were subsequently digitally displayed at Tate Britain and gained gallery representation for The Holy Art and Hook Art/ Buckingham Fine art, being displayed across London and the U.S. with screenings of its short film presented at Everyman Cinemas. Images have also appeared across several album covers including the Militant Music x Mind Charity album and event for charity. Experience: The NeuroComputing Lab (NCL) Graphic designer/artist and visual communicator I am working with a scientist from the lab to produce artworks, overhaul previous images, assets, diagrams etc for the NCL’s website, papers, presentations etc. I am in talks with the head of the lab to have a more formal roel. I have assisted in visual communications of their research including brain simulation framework, ultrasound-imaging, functional brain dynamics and Smart implantable Medical Systems to the public. (None of my contributions are yet public). (2024-ongoing) Mind Charity x Militant Music charity album cover + event I was commissioned by Militant Music in partnership with Mind charity to design the album cover/ painting, promotional content, and consult on set design for a charity album and live event. They specifically requested my x-ray/radiology style. The project brief was to raise money and awareness to tackle youth suicide and so required exceptional consideration and effort to make sure all parties were happy. I have since been invited to work on a second event. The commissioned x-ray painting had a full page feature in the UAL 2024 prospectus. (2022) Medical illustrator and artist for fitness brand I was tasked with designing anatomically correct artworks and graphics of muscle structures, nerves etc for a fitness streetwear brand based in Poland. These were used across their visual branding including merchandise in which I consulted on the designs. _Phone details not available. Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_)
