I've worked in China for 3 years as design manager of a team of 20 designers. I've visited many factories and saw the production lines, I've talked directly (through my colleagues who translated, but also sketches and gestures) to the factories head of engineering and factory owners. Doing so I grew my technical skills, understanding how to design products that can be easily prototyped and manufactured with acceptable production costs. In Italy I've cooperated with big international brands, working with their marketing, trade and sales departments. I was business partner of the design studio in which I've worked until February 2023 and all of these experiences allow me to have business competences. During these years I had to adapt to different roles so I had to improve myself, studying, taking courses and reading books, especially about business, management, sustainability and user experience.
