This is part of a series of a recent campaign I worked on for Petco featuring Snoop Dogg. I received the raw footage, which was shot in 6K raw on Sony Venice with Panavision anamorphic zooms, and raw audio via a hard drive shipped to me. I edited the video, then color-graded all the footage, mixed the audio, and added motion graphics and stock music. Color grading was especially important, as this had to closely match the existing TV commercial Petco was running (which is also on their YouTube channel) and in this particular piece, Snoop was filmed outside and largely backlit by the bright California sky. I used Da Vinci Resolve Studio to recover exposure and detail so we could see the subject clearly and also brought some color into the sky, which was cloudless and blown out. This is a fairly short piece, but using motion graphics and the available camera coverage I was able to still tell the story and deliver something fun. Edits and revisions were all delivered via Frame.io, where the client gave feedback, and final versions were delivered via Drop Box and Vimeo.…This is part of a series of a recent campaign I worked on for Petco featuring Snoop Dogg.
