As a drummer in a rock band since the age of 9, Virgile has consistently merged his training in classical and contemporary music. His higher education at the Pôle Supérieur de Musique et Danse from Lille led him to obtain two Advanced Professional Diplomas (DNSPM), one in classical percussions and the other in contemporary drumming with an option in music for the screen. As a composer, drummer and producer within the duo A-Vox (Universal/BMG Publishing/Base Production), Virgile quickly incorporates tracks to give an original musical flavor during the duo's three hundred concerts, shaping his stage presence. Always drawn to the combination of sound and image, Virgile collaborates on several short films, adapts "Les Corons" for the animated film Zombillenium with Eric Neveu, and composes for a video game. As a curious artist, he has created an electro set as a solo artist where he successfully blends his classical and contemporary music backgrounds in a powerful live performance. Simultaneously, he continues to produce arrangements for classical percussion orchestras, creates the sound identity of an amusement park, and works on the sound design and educational content for the Solfy application. Virgile composes for numerous video mappings with Rencontres Audiovisuelles.
