    uniE621 Eagle Ridge Homeowners Association
Project Description: I had the opportunity to pitch for the Eagle Ridge Homeowners Association to update their website for the first time since the early-2000s. They were looking to make the website clean, easy to use, and informative, and also to show the beauty of the community in its design. I developed a landing page and presented a few new features I could develop for them and was hired for the project. Research and Planning: As it was my first time developing and designing a community website with gated content, my research mainly involved looking at other communities, nationally and internationally, and seeing what their priority was for each page and how they separated the information in it. As the website contains a lot of information, I separated the planning into three parts. Organize the menu buttons and next the sub-menu into the right category to make the website cleaner and more usable. Organize the content in it and ask the ERHA what needed to be added to the website and what could be replaced or left out. Roughly design one page and see how it would look when all the information in it would be displayed.‍ Design and Iterations: The first page designed was the “Our Community” page, which set the tone for the rest of the website. Its font size and colour, the sections, and how each piece of information, large and small, would be showed case without losing its charm. Proceeding with the formula created by me, I finished the remaining pages and then moved on to the homepage and user account page. Simple and direct, the homepage shows the qualities of the community, their mission, a bulletin board header without showing any postings, and the most recent news. The final page created was the user account, which will allow each household to update their information and submit a job or opportunity. All minor iterations were done throughout the development and the final iterations were done with each board member going over each page and section to guarantee that all the information was correct and the design was responsive. At the very end, we decided to add an extra layer of protection by adding a cookies allowance and a notification box when the user clicks on an external link. ‍Conclusion: Designing the Eagle Ridge Homeowners Association website allowed me to broaden my design and coding skills while also seeing how websites can bring a community together. I was hired by the ERHA to maintain and keep the website up to date. designer webdesigner uxdesign uidesign homeownersassociation
    uniE621 Dr. Sapna
Project Description: I was approached by Dr. Sapna while working in an administrative position at her clinic in Toronto, Integra Health Centre. She wanted to develop a personal website to showcase her professional accomplishments and help others achieve similar goals by showcasing her chiropractic and business tips. As a Chiropractic Doctor, she also wanted to help people improve their lifestyles by providing tools and exercises through her website. Research and Planning: As it was a personal website/blog, the design needed to represent Dr. Sapna Sriram through its aesthetics and tone, so the research approach was a little different and done in two parts. First, I needed to know Dr. Sapna well enough to represent her in the design. After that, I needed to learn who her target audience was. From there, my goal was to brainstorm and see new angles and methods to design the website. What would be the pros and cons for each section, feature, and colour? The result that I landed on was to be elegant, reliable, have clear communication and be professional. I decided to make a one-page website, using the soft yet bold Reddish Grey colour and the classic Roboto font style. Design and Iterations: I started the low-fidelity prototype by hand and moved to Adobe XD to develop the mid and high-fidelity prototypes. Before finalizing the project in Webflow, I asked a few users to test the high-fi prototype, rate its usability and voice what could be improved. For the final step, before publishing the website, another round of tests and iterations was made to ensure the website was responsive, usable and enjoyable. The final product was finalized in Webflow, showing the end-to-end user experience. Dr. Sapna’s website allows users to learn and be inspired by her. It showcases her professional career as a chiropractor, CEO, entrepreneur, and media personality. For further work, we’re planning to add a feature where Dr. Sapna will share her favourite tools and items for a healthier and better lifestyle. uniE621 Integra SkinLab
Project Description: Integra SkinLab is part of the Medical Clinic Integra Health, based in Downtown Toronto. They strive to provide an unrivalled skin healthcare experience that assesses the root of skin concerns by combining naturopathic intervention and aesthetic medicine. When creating their website, the goal was to represent beauty, relaxation, and inclusiveness, in addition to their philosophy being that "all skin deserves mindful care, pampering and support that caters to its unique qualities.” Research and Planning: As SkinLab is part of Integra Health and the website was developed afterward, the research and planning route was taken a little differently. A key point was to build an inclusive and easy-to-use website. My personal goal was to put together a handful of websites that were representing BIPOC patients and clients enjoying a relaxing day. As the research went along, we noticed that unfortunately, the minority groups were not well represented, so most photos and videos were done in-house with Integra’s employees. All fonts and colours were decided to be inclusive, inviting and part of the family Integra Health. Design and Iterations: For this project, as the deadline was tight, only a high-fidelity design was done. Tests and iterations were done throughout the development to guarantee its easy usability. Conclusion: Integra Skinlab was built and developed in three days, therefore the UX research was minimal. This helped me prepare for future projects that will need to be completed in a short time. I was hired to maintain and design any future changes to the website. designer webdesigner uxdesign uidesign
    uniE621 Integra Health
Project Description: While working at Integra Health as a Healthcare Administrator, I was approached by the founders, Dr. Sapna and Alyza Raithatha to re-design the company’s website. This was a significant undertaking due to the size and scope of the services that Integra offers and the necessity for the clinic’s patients to be able to find what they’re looking for on the website. Research and Planning: As the deadline was only two weeks, minimal UX Research was done and the website was developed in high-fidelity on Webflow. Our goal was to create a simple and informative website where users from all ages and backgrounds could have a smooth and meaningful experience. Integra Health offers around 20 services and has over 25 practitioners and doctors working in the clinic, so the website needed to accommodate its heavy content without making it hard for users to navigate through it. We planned to allow each service to have its page and section with its designated practitioner. To maintain its remarkable image, the blue tone and the Roboto font were kept and displayed throughout the website. For the animations and elements interactions, my goal was to design a fun and elegant health clinic website. On average, more than five pages were designed daily, which allowed us to complete the project on time Design and Iterations: As the website was done only straight to high-fidelity on Webflow, all the tests and iterations were done throughout its development. Once the project was completed, a small team from Integra went through each page and section of the website to guarantee all the information was accurate and all the design was done properly. ‍Conclusion: This project was critical in my process of learning how to consolidate significant amounts of information into ways that can be consumed in a pleasant and memorable way. It also put to the test my ability to work quickly and under pressure and I’m proud of the result. designer uxdesigner uidesigner webdesigner
