I am a Data and BI engineer by profession. Working in the IT sector for nearly 20 years now and have experience of working in the Financial sector, Software House, Broadcast Media and now in Oil & Gas company. From the academic standpoint, I have a master’s degree in computer science. Regarding my professional work experience, I started my career in 2003 as a Software Programmer with a sister concerned audit firm of Ernst & Young. After one year, I joined another company Applications XS as Software engineer and worked there for almost 1 year. In late 2005, I had joined Geo Television Network as a Senior Software Engineer. Just for your reference, Geo TV is the largest media house in Pakistan that has 5 TV Channels, 2 newspapers and an in-house digital agency. I worked there for 16 years and during my tenure at Geo TV I was promoted 3 times and my last job title was Manager Information Systems. My core responsibilities in Geo TV included design and development of in-house applications such as Executive Reporting Dashboards, Automating workflows for Producers, Content Management, Payroll, Attendance, HR portals, Medical Reimbursement Portal etc. In early 2022, I switched to BYCO petroleum as Manager Automation where I am responsible for custom application development, reporting solutions, and working with data warehouses, ETL pipelines, interactive reports and dashboards, low-code mobile applications, and process flows. In terms of hands-on experience with IT tools and software, I have extensive experience of working in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL, Python, SSRS, SSIS, Dot Net etc.…I am a Data and BI engineer by profession.
