Zuzi studied at the University of Western Sydney – Nepean (Theatre) and the University of Technology – Sydney (BA Communication – directing and scriptwriting). She attended the Filmmakers College of Arts & Sciences and The Australian Playhouse Studio, where she trained in voice, movement, physical theatre, experimental theatre, and street theatre. She also completed the Danny Raco Television Masterclass, TV Presenter Course – Level A with TV proGlobal, Acting and Voice with John Noble (Elementary), a Clowning workshop with The Humor Foundation, a Sara Wiseman acting workshop, and a Shakespeare workshop with Glenda Linscott, along with an intensive Shakespeare Masterclass with John Bell.
Additionally, Zuzi completed courses in Child Protection, Child Self-esteem, Dyslexia and Autism, Speech and Language Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as teaching consent to children. She is currently studying transformational therapy using neuroscience and neurolinguistic programming.
Since her graduation, Zuzi has worked as an actor, director, scriptwriter, teaching artist/drama teacher, and TV host. After gaining her accreditation from MEAA, she also became a stunt performer.
Acting, however, remains her passion. Highlights include performing Molière at the Belvoir, acting alongside David Ritchie in Place with the Pigs, playing Tiger Lily in the Peter Pan Launch at the Capitol Theatre, performing in plays by Sartre and Kohout, doing stunts in False Witness, All Saints, Packed to the Rafters, Home and Away, and working for Universal Studios. Zuzi also worked on international features, including the Superman movie, David Leitch’s Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling, Life after Fighting with Bren Foster and serving as a stunt double for Claire Van der Boom in the feature The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race.
Zuzi’s teaching experience includes working for Powerhouse Youth Theatre, the Q Theatre, the Australian Institute of Performing Arts, and for more than ten years, The Speech and Drama School at MLC. Finally, she has been involved with community theatre, working closely with refugees, women and children at risk, special needs pupils, and gifted and talented students to help them express their experiences and discover their voices through self-devised theatre.
Zuzi’s greatest achievements are her daughters, Kira and Kisha.
