Thatβs No Moon is an independent AAA game development studio established in 2021 by veterans of some of the most recognizable and critically acclaimed creative teams in the world, including Naughty Dog, Infinity Ward, Santa Monica Studio, Bungie, PlayStation, and more. A remote-friendly studio with a central office and performance capture stage located in Los Angeles, Thatβs No Moon is creating the next generation of narrative-driven, genre-defining experiences built upon a culture of creativity, collaboration, responsible production practices, and individual empowerment. We are assembling a diverse team of passionate developers of a wide range of experience levels and backgrounds to help shape the future of our studio and projects.
We are looking for a UI Engineer with a passion for creating streamlined interfaces for a AAA title. The UI Engineer will work side-by-side with designers and artists to build intuitive interfaces that effectively communicate information between player and game. If you have prior involement with UX research, Unreal State, UMG, Common UI and love math, you will feel right at home here at TNM!
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support and guidance for the cross-discipline UI team.
- Work collaboratively to provide holistic solutions for design, art, and engineering.
- Implement and maintain production quality C++ and blueprints in Unreal Engine.
- Participate in research to provide the best possible experience for the player.
- Provide regular communication updates and coordinate with production regarding scheduling and priorities.
- Write and maintain documentation.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience with C++.
- Experience with Blueprints.
- Experience implementing UI within Unreal Engine.
- (Bonus) Prior involvement with UX research.
- (Bonus) UMG and Common UI experience.
- (Bonus) Strong math skills.

- Desire for UI to have efficient, intuitive flow, and be diegetic when possible.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passion for accessibility.
- Work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to communicate clearly visually, verbally and written.
TNM considers a number of factors when determining each roleβs base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.
TNM offers competitive and comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, unlimited PTO, supplemental life and disability, and more. Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time or temporary employees.
The estimated base pay range for this role is: $115,000 - $155,000
