UI Designer is needed in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Client: IQ Integrity Limited

Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom

Contract: Full Time, Other

Responsibilities:

  • User Interface Design: Design innovative user interfaces for enterprise software, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Design Strategy: Contribute to and execute the overall design strategy, aligning UI/UX goals with business objectives and user needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, developers, support and product managers, to translate requirements into visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
  • Design System: Establish and maintain design systems that promote consistency and efficiency across multiple product platforms.
  • Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and validate user flows, collaborating with stakeholders for feedback.
  • Visual Design: Ensure a high standard of visual design by creating aesthetically pleasing and on-brand user interfaces.
  • Responsive Design: Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Stay Current: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to continually enhance the design process.

Skills:

  • Expertise in UI Design Tools: Proficient in using industry-standard UI design tools such as Adobe XD or Figma.
  • Design Thinking: Strong ability to think critically and strategically about design problems, considering user needs and business goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey design concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prototyping Skills: Proficient in creating interactive prototypes for user testing and stakeholder reviews.
  • Design Systems: Experience in establishing and maintaining design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Enterprise Software Design: Demonstrated experience in designing user interfaces for complex software applications.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Knowledge of UX: In-depth understanding of UX and user-centred design principles.

Working Hours:

We work a 9.5 day fortnight. Every second Friday is a half day!

Week 1: Monday - Friday - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Week 2: Monday - Thursday - 9:00am to 5:00pm; Friday 9:00am to 1pm
