Job Description

We are looking to hire experienced editors to work on our visual album/ music movie production. This project consists of a compilation of cinematically shot music videos to make up a short film and requires a creative eye and attention to detail.

This role requires you to be based in Philadelphia or open to relocating for the duration of the editing process which is expected to take 5-8 weeks (travel and lodging provided).

Compensation is negotiable.

Duties

- Edit and assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision

- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film

- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects

- Create rough and final cuts

- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video

- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency

Experience

- Proven work experience as a Video Editor

- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe After Effects, Capture One, Maya)

- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity

- Familiarity with special effects, 3D animation, and graphic design

- Creative mind and storytelling skills

Requirements

- Proven work experience as a Video Editor

- Proficient in using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

- Strong portfolio showcasing your video editing skills

- Knowledge of visual storytelling techniques

- Familiarity with special effects, 3D animation, and graphic design is a plus
