Job Description:

Our Austin-based production company and creative ad agency is hiring talented video editors with graphic design and motion gfx expertise. The role involves editing broadcast and narrative content, designing advertising creative, managing media, and handling various post-production tasks from ingestion to delivery.

The editor/designer will work closely with producers on production plans, manage time effectively, coordinate with broadcast media companies, and be involved in all aspects of creating content from short social media ads to longer narratives and documentaries. The position requires proficiency in editing software like Premiere, Avid, and FCP, as well as graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate should appreciate storytelling, possess good time management and communication abilities, be self-motivated, and ready to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The role may involve wearing multiple hats beyond editing and designing, such as writing scripts and producing content.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in video editing
• 3 years of experience in graphic design
• Proficient in Premiere, Avid, FCP, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and other relevant software
• Familiarity with cinema camera formats such as Canon, Red, Sony, etc.
• Ability to transcode footage, mix audio, handle color correction, and manage media
• Strong motion graphics skills for creating engaging content
• Understanding of story structure and character development for compelling narratives
• Excellent time management, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable working on various types of content from short digital ads to feature-length narratives
• In-person work location in Austin

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
