Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic UI/UX Designer to join our early-stage startup. You’ll be working closely with the CEO and the product development team, having a significant impact on the design and user experience of our products. Your main focus will be on creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance user interaction and satisfaction. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in refining our design processes and enhancing the aesthetic aspects of our core product. The ideal candidate is a proactive, creative thinker and a detail-oriented designer. You will lead the design of our new product, bringing expertise in visual and interaction design, along with excellent communication skills and a passion for creating seamless user experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for mobile and web applications.
• Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conducting user research and evaluating user feedback to enhance and polish the user experience.
• Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Supporting the implementation of designs by closely collaborating with developers, providing precise design specifications and assets.
• Testing and iterating on UI/UX designs based on user feedback and analytics.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio of design projects.
• Proficiency in visual design and wireframing tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with user testing, usability, and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing simultaneous projects with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in UI/UX design, particularly in a tech or startup environment.
• Based in the NY area, comfortable with a hybrid work model (2-3 days in-person/week).
