Job Description

As a Freelance Junior Graphic Designer at Morreale Communications, you will be responsible for supporting the graphic design team in creating a range of print and digital designs and graphics. This role will involve working on projects such as flyers, fact sheets, signage, presentations, brochures, banners, and booklets, under the guidance of the Senior Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the graphic design team in creating various designs
• Review and assess project requirements
• Prepare files for print
• Organize and manage digital assets
• Collaborate with the team on projects
• Take art direction from senior creative staff
• Revise work based on feedback

Qualifications and Skills

• BA or BFA in Graphic Design
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of print design principles and layout
• Nice to have: website design, video editing, motion graphics experience
• Ability to multitask and manage different projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Adobe CC InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
• Strong portfolio of graphic design projects
• Eagerness to learn and grow design and marketing skills
• Ability to work well with other team members to efficiently streamline tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to take design feedback and quickly incorporate it
• Available for extended hours when needed to meet deadlines

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay: $22-28/hour, based on experience
• This position is initially a 3-month contract with potential for extension and full-time hire
• The role is remote but may require in-office work 2-3 days a week in Rosemont, IL in the future
