Job Description

KPIX is seeking a highly talented part-time video editor with a passion for news and experience using non-linear editing equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced television news environment, be detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with minimal supervision. The editor must be a creative and poised team player who can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility with the work schedule is essential, as the candidate should be willing to work nights, overnights, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Candidate must possess:

• A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced television news environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Grass Valley Edius editing system is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Flexibility regarding work schedule, including the willingness to work nights, overnights, and weekends.
• A demo reel showcasing editing abilities is required.

ENG will also be a part of regular duties.
