Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Video Producer to join the team at Bauer Media Audio in Scotland at the home of Clyde 1 in Glasgow, the Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Networks in Scotland. Reporting into the Digital Editor, we are looking for an experienced Video Producer with excellent knowledge of all aspects of video production, a strong shooter with a huge passion for postproduction. Working with a hugely talented team, you’ll have the freedom to create and shape unmissable video content and ongoing social benchmarks.

You should be a fast and effective editor with extensive experience in running shoots and dealing with a variety of talent. You must understand Bauer’s Scottish radio brands, their target audience on social media, and possess a strong knowledge of entertainment culture, football culture, and a thorough understanding of the Scottish audience. You are a strong creative with a sharp eye for detail who excels in bringing video concepts to life.

This will be an office-based position working between 12pm – 8pm (Mon – Fri) with occasional weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

• Writing, producing, and distributing content that is accurate, on-brand, up-to-date, and appealing to the audience.
• Keeping up to date with the latest social media video editing trends and personalities, including emerging memes and cultural conversations.
• Editing short- and long-form videos for social accounts and YouTube Channels.
• Assisting the social team to distribute content & schedule to assorted platforms.
• Project managing and directing video content creation in studio and on location.
• Managing video kit including lighting – ensuring all kit is up to date and reporting any faults.
• Collaborating with teams on digital best practices, creating exciting graphics, compelling edits, thumbnails that pop, repeatable formats, and content that drives engagement, subscriptions, and followers.
• If required, take the role of director or producer, ensuring video content is of the highest quality and delivered on deadline.
• Assisting with Digital & Design aspects when required.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of camera, sound & lighting.
• Previous experience in editing and shooting, combined with an excellent understanding of all social media platforms from a video perspective.
• Sound editorial judgment with a passion for storytelling.
• Significant experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• The ability to work well with others and direct presenting and guest talent.
• A strong understanding of Bauer’s Scottish brands and a strong knowledge of Scottish Football, alongside a thorough understanding of the Scottish audience.
• Knowledge of all social platforms.
• Talent for sound design.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to focus and follow through on priorities and deliver quality results.
• Comfortable using Mac.
• Storyboarding and scripting skills.
• Awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance.
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements on shoots.
• General graphic and animation skills are highly advantageous, including Photoshop and After Effects.
• Photography skills.
• Pro-active, committed, quick-thinking, and able to work calmly under pressure.
• A team player at every level, and able to work with stakeholders to see a project through to completion.
