Job Description
Known is looking for a talented and multidisciplinary Sr. Designer/Animator who will serve as a key member of the Design team. The Sr. Designer/Animator will collaborate with the VP, Head of Design to conceive innovative design and animation executions across digital, print, social, UX/UI, visual identity systems, and video, as well as develop designs for presentations, templates, and PR/talent/internal assets. This role requires a passionate, pixel-perfect designer & animator with a keen eye for brand, type, layout, composition, and color design.
Candidates must be based in either NYC or LA and be available to work from the office 2+ days/week. This temporary position may transition into a full-time benefited role for the right candidate.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA in design or related field.
- 5-7+ years of professional experience in design at an advertising agency, design firm, and/or in-house creative team.
- Experience in brand design and animation across a wide range of projects.
- Strong understanding of best practices in social, web design, and visual identity systems.
- Superior design eye with knowledge of design disciplines, trends, brand design, type, layout, image composition, and infographic design.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Figma, and Google Suite.
- Able to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects/deadlines.
- Possess a strong work ethic, adaptability to changing demands, and ability to refocus quickly on project changes.
- Self-driven, eager, and passionate about design and advertising.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Designer/Animator will:
- Create pixel-perfect designs and animations for various formats, including video, digital, print, and presentations.
- Collaborate with the VP, Head of Design to develop conceptual designs that enhance client brands.
- Work with and develop brand guidelines to maintain design consistency.
- Design and animate innovative assets for social and video, including moving illustrations and mixed media motion graphics.
- Keep current with design trends and technology, sharing insights with the team.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects with changing deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with project owners about project status and challenges.
- Provide technical input and advice to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Brainstorm conceptual directions both independently and as part of a team.
- Manage creative request workflow by prioritizing projects.
Additional Information
