Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer for a 12-month maternity cover position on behalf of our client, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation industry. This role is based in Devon, and due to the nature of the work, we regret that we cannot accommodate remote working or candidates looking to relocate. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to join a dynamic team that brings playful and engaging spaces to life.
What Youâll Be Doing:
As part of a supportive and fun-loving team, youâll be applying your design skills to a variety of creative projects. This role goes beyond traditional graphic designâit involves creating designs that are transformed into physical experiences for kids and families. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Artwork Creation: Develop vibrant artwork themes for play frames and spaces that ignite imagination and fun.
- Print-Ready Files: Prepare artwork files for printing and manufacturing, including stitched artwork for applique.
- Marketing & Promotional Design: Design brochures, promotional material, and trade show stands to enhance the brandâs presence.
- Support Marketing Efforts: Work closely with the marketing team to create visually compelling content for social media and digital campaigns, often collaborating with a photographer/videographer.
Who You Are:
Youâre an enthusiastic and creative Graphic Designer with a passion for bringing ideas to life in both print and physical forms. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have the ability to handle multiple projects, from concept through to production. Youâll need to demonstrate a strong eye for detail, a love for playful and engaging designs, and the ability to turn concepts into practical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar graphic design role.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Print & Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of preparing print-ready files and working with physical product design.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, particularly those that have been transformed into real-world products or installations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
