Job Description
We are looking for a confident, dynamic individual with a passion for social media and marketing to join our growing retail/ecommerce business as a Senior Social Media Executive. This role, based in central Manchester, will involve working within the Brand & Marketing team and reporting to the Head of Marketing. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, innovative ideas, and enthusiasm to our content and marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- **Social Media Management:** Take ownership of our organic social media accounts, creating compelling and engaging content across all platforms mainly Instagram and TikTok. - **Growth Strategies:** Utilize industry knowledge and experience to grow our organic audiences and deliver viral engagement. - **Brand Consistency:** Maintain a consistent, on-brand tone of voice tailored for each social channel. - **Marketing Campaigns:** Execute marketing growth strategies including lead generation, campaigns, competitions, and promotions. - **Platform Opportunities:** Identify new platform opportunities and content streams to enhance brand awareness and reach. - **Influencer Management:** Manage influencer activities and create engaging content for organic and paid channels. - **Reporting:** Provide regular reports and insights to the Head of Marketing and Marketing Director. - **Collaboration:** Work closely with internal teams, including Sales and Customer Service, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts. - **Agency Coordination:** Liaise with external agencies to coordinate marketing activities, content, and campaigns. - **Strategy Development:** Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness. - **Trend Monitoring:** Monitor social media channels for trending news and ideas, and track performance. - **Creative Assets:** Collaborate with the in-house Graphic Designer to produce relevant creative assets for all organic platforms. - **Email Marketing:** Assist the wider team with email marketing campaigns. - **Campaign Planning:** Assist the wider team with campaign and promotional planning.
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent in marketing or social media. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the retail industry. - Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. - Passion for social media and knowledge of current trends. - Strong content creation skills with a keen eye for design and detail. - Driven, proactive, and passionate about learning and development. - Excellent knowledge of social media platforms. - Excellent communication skills. - Experience with Klaviyo, MailChimp, or similar platforms is beneficial. - Experience with Shopify collabs or affiliate networks is beneficial.
